Aleksandr Kurenkov and Rustam Minnikhanov looked into a new training centre in Kazan
The Head of the EMERCOM of Russia and the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected a new training centre for firefighters and rescuers. They assessed the feasibility of the modern facility and qualifications of specialists to respond to various emergency situations.

The training centre is designed on a cluster principle, combining facilities to train firefighters and rescuers for accident-rescue, gas-rescue, and search-and-rescue operations. Here, specialists will be able to practice procedures for fires, structural collapses, and industrial accidents, as well as advance their professional skills and unit co-ordination. The simulators allow for the modelling of various scenarios and operational conditions that are as close to reality as possible.

One of the highlights of the demonstration programme was a joint Russian-Malaysian emergency response exercise. Specialists from both countries practiced emergency-rescue service and demonstrated their readiness to operate swiftly during a large-scale incident.

Aleksandr Kurenkov and Rustam Minnikhanov also observed the trials of the All-Russian EMERCOM Review Competition “Best Gas and Smoke Protection Service Unit”. The country’s strongest teams demonstrated their professional training and teamwork while executing tasks in high-temperature and low-visibility conditions. On the specialised “360” obstacle course, the rescuers showcased their training level, completing a complex set of tasks made to test physical endurance, co-ordination, and special equipment handling skills.

In addition, the guests were presented firefighting simulator complexes designed to model various fire scenarios and practice firefighting tactics.

Further, the Head of the EMERCOM of Russia and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan were shown a modern physical training routine, featuring exercises to develop strength, endurance, speed, and co-ordination – qualities essential for specialists performing their official duties.

A demonstration race in fire and rescue sports kicked off at the sports ground, showcasing a spectacular discipline that combines professional firefighting skills with athletic training.

Finally, Aleksandr Kurenkov and Rustam Minnikhanov visited a field life-support camp. The camp provides for accommodation, meals, and autonomous operations for specialists during emergency-rescue operations. The actions programme concluded with a demonstration of the mobile tactical force capabilities designed for rapid deployment and incident management directly within an emergency area.
